Understanding: Our Journey Series
Understanding our journey– Part 3
We are not alone in this journey to make the errors of the past to be corrected; we have the Holy Spirit today to guide us in the entire challenging role on this earth. Jesus completed the task assigned to him, and it is our turn, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to regain the lost perfection of man and reclaim the lost paradise. Our bodies might not make it, but our souls have a big chance of victory. Our souls are at stake where our journey will take us.
Paul said: “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5 ESV.
God said He would give mercy to whom He has mercy, and He will have the compassion to whom He has compassion. We can fight the good fight of faith, but without help coming from the Holy Spirit, we are on the losing stand. Fo, we struggle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness. W are fighting not against flesh and blood but against the evil forces in the heavenly places. Therefore, we need the armor of God so that when they come, we can stand against them. We can only depend on God of mercy if winning the battle is hard to achieve.
The Father and God of our Lord Jesus Christ will never leave or forsake us, which is a promise. Whatever God says, He will do it. For it is not us who speak, but the Holy Spirit of the Father speaking through our souls. We should have a clean heart and a clear mind to connect perfectly with the Holy Spirit. Our passion n for God, Compassion for men, and a forgiving heart are needed to forget the sins of anyone who offended us, and we must stay humble, pause, inhale and feel the breath of life that will calm our hearts. That is t e work of the Holy Spirit.
We are God’s temple. God was directly involved in human activities in the Old Testament. The chur is the Body of Christ, which means the body of believers, not the building. Now comes the kingdom of God, which is the government of God in our domain, given to us to rule under the kingship of the Son Jesus once everything is put under his feet, including death. “He who h s prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.” 1 Corinthians 3:16
When in doubt, when in need, when in a situation that is hard to handle, we should not forget to ask the Holy Spirit of God that is within us, upon us, and beside us. His presence is everywhere He is around us. Though the word Trinity is not written by word, the heart of the message tells us otherwise. It exists
The Holy Spirit at work—
Luke 11:13–”If you, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” “And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
1 Corinthians 2:11 ESV – Who knows a person’s thoughts except for the Spirit of that person, which is in him? So also, o one comprehends the thoughts of God except for the Spirit of God.
Our Protection is Divine—
“For all who the Spirit of God leads are sons of God”— Romans 8:14. 1 Corinthians 16-17—”Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”
Some Scriptures below tell us that the Holy Spirit of God will be delighted when we react to it in obedience to what it says:
Hungry for the Word-
Matthew 5:6- “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”
Baptizing-
Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:13 “For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, whether bondservants or free —and all were made to drink of one Spirit. So in him, also en we hear the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation, and believe in him, we are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who guarantees our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”
Disobedience –
1 Corinthians 2:14 “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”
Blessings –
2 Corinthians 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
All things will be revealed—Luke 12:2-3 (NLT) “The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!”
