The Architecture Of Our Love
The Architecture of Our Love
A Testament to Jessica Gloria, the Children Who Forgave, and the Grandchildren Who Sing
By Bishop Joseph / Husband, Father, and Lolo
Dedication
To the readers, friends, and family who visit my personal website:
This booklet is dedicated to the digital sanctuary where my words first found their wings. My personal website has been more than a collection of pages. It has been the quiet room where I processed my thoughts, shared my heart, and planted the seeds for this very work. Thank you for walking alongside me on my online writing journey. You gave me the space to become the lyrical storyteller I am today. Your presence there helped nurture a lasting legacy of wisdom for generations to come.
Introduction
To my beloved family—the structural pillars, the foundational stones, and the living melodies of my life:
I write these words not as a perfect man, but as a man who has been profoundly blessed by the LORD Almighty. Every sacrifice made in the quiet hours of the night, every shift worked, and every prayer whispered was for the purpose of raising a sanctuary where you could all grow, thrive, and sing your own songs. Within these pages lies the true history of my heart: my eternal devotion to my wife, Jessica Gloria; my deep pride in my children, my Elite; and my soaring joy for my twelve magnificent grandchildren. This booklet is more than a collection of letters; it is a blueprint of our shared faith, a record of our resilience, and a testament to the beautiful architecture of our love. Carry these words with you into the future. May they always remind you of who we are and where we came from.
Part I: To My Wife, My Cornerstone
To my wife, my Jessica Gloria: the woman who knew me first, seeing who I was before I even understood myself. You are the anchor of my soul and the greatest blessing of my life. Your love has been a steady, guiding light through every single season. You are the fierce, devoted mother of our children and the tender, joyful grandmother of our grandchildren, weaving a beautiful tapestry of love across generations.
LORD Almighty, I lift my hands in deep, overflowing gratitude. Thank you for this beautiful kingdom of love, legacy, and faith that You have built through us. Thank you for our sacred home—a kingdom built on faith, crowned with family, and sustained by Your endless grace. Amen.
Part II: To My Offspring, My Elite
To Jennifer, Jeffrey, Janice, Jason, and Jerald—my Elite:
Now that you stand on your own footing, guiding your own homes and raising your own children, you see the world through the complex lens of parenthood. You know firsthand that there is no manual, and there is no such thing as a perfect father. I am not a perfect father, and I believe no one is. We try to manage our children with love and care, and yet, some can still be suspicious of favoritism.
I want to open a window into who I was before you truly knew me, back when we were all growing up together.
When you looked for me on the weekends, hoping to see me on the sidelines of your football games like the other fathers, I was either sleeping from exhaustion or grinding through another shift. I lacked the attention to give you because I was working almost seven days a week, locked in a relentless rotation of days and nights. My absence wasn’t a choice; it was my battle. I could not buy you the things other children enjoyed and that friends your same age freely enjoyed. Because of chronic sleep deprivation, my mood was sometimes erratic. But every hour away, every sacrifice, and every moment of exhaustion was fueled by one single purpose: survival and a future for my Elite.
Hearing your feedback, your profound understanding, and your unconditional love and respect has filled my heart completely. Your grace washes away the silent guilt a father carries. Without this legacy I am writing, I would not know, and you couldn’t have expressed your sorryness. It takes immense maturity to look back at the limitations of your childhood and see the fierce protection that lay underneath them.
As you build your own legacies, remember this wisdom: Parenthood is not measured by the material things you provide or the flawless days you deliver, but by the relentless devotion to keep showing up, even when your tank is empty. Forgive your own imperfections just as you have beautifully forgiven mine. Thank you for your love, your apologies, and your respect. You are, and will always be, my Elite.
Part III: To My Grandchildren, My Unbroken Melody
To my nine beautiful granddaughters and three brilliant grandsons—my pride, my joy, and the music of my twilight years:
Whether you call me Grandpa, Lolo, or as my eldest grandson Alexander calls me, “Dad”—a sacred title born from the first seven years of your life under my roof—you each hold an irreplaceable piece of my heart.
Alexander, my boy, I will never forget the day your world was upended when it was time to live with your parents, and you ran away. Those terrifying hours when you were lost in that park broke something inside me; I felt the crushing weight of a grandfather’s worst nightmare, thinking you had been kidnapped. But when that patrolman found you, and God ended my misery, there was a happy ending. There was no room for scolding—only the tightest, longest hug a heart could give when I saw you. That day taught me that love doesn’t demand explanations; it just holds on tight.
Watching you all grow has been the greatest concert of my life. I remember every Christmas, placing instruments, chords, and musical gifts into your hands, hoping to spark a fire. Today, my heart overflows seeing that seed blossom. Many of you are teenagers now and can play piano, flute, guitars, and the ukulele, and some can even read notes. From Matilda and Clementine reading notes and mastering chords on the guitar, ukulele, and piano, to Sophia, Greta, and Kayla in the 8th grade bringing your own beautiful melodies to life on your instruments. I see Niko fully devoted to Christ, a creator of beats and songs that honor the Almighty, and it moves me beyond words.
You are all stepping into your own greatness. I see my college girls, Adriana and Greta Jude, pursuing higher heights, and Keira in her third year of pharmaceutical science alongside her brother Keanu in computer engineering—building the pillars of tomorrow. I see Sophia, a sophomore in high school, leading the way for her younger sister Amelia, who at 11 holds the sweet promise of the future. And I see Elena in junior high, already looking ahead with the fierce spirit of entrepreneurship, fully backed by her parents Janice and David, alongside her sister Kayla, who walks this beautiful journey of youth right by her side.
Here is my wisdom to you as you navigate this loud, busy world: Life, much like music, requires both harmony and dissonance. There will be seasons when you hit a wrong note, when plans shift, or when you feel lost in a park of your own doubts. In those moments, do not stop playing. Tune your heart back to the Creator.
Always support one another. Let the bond you share as cousins and siblings be your unbreakable rhythm. Entrepreneurship, medicine, engineering, music, or school—whatever your calling, play your unique melody with passion, integrity, and faith. You are the living legacy of a man who worked night and day so that your generation could sing a grander song.
Part IV: My Final Blessings to the Generations
For My Grandsons
- To Alexander (My “Son”): May the Almighty always protect your steps, just as He did on the day you were lost and found. The bond we share is unbreakable; you will always be a son to my heart. As you walk forward into manhood, may you never forget how deeply you are loved. I bless you with a spirit of resilience, courage, and a life surrounded by a peace that no storm can ever shake.
- To Niko: May the Lord crown your devotion to Him with endless creativity. You have taken the seeds of music and turned them into a joyful noise for the Creator. - To Keanu: May God grant you sharp wisdom and insight as you navigate the complex world of computer engineering. You are building the digital foundations of the future. I bless you with perfect harmony between your intellect and your artistry. May your life always be full of rich music, and may your future be as bright and beautiful as the chords you play.
- To Sophia: As a sophomore in high school, you are stepping beautifully into your own identity. I bless you in your role as a loving older sister to Amelia and a faithful cousin and friend to Elena. May you walk through these high school years with confidence, grace, and a joyous heart, knowing you are deeply cherished.

I bless your hands as you play, and I bless your close bond with your sister Elena. May you grow in grace, beauty, and confidence every day, always knowing that your melody matters deeply to this family.
- To Matilda: As a twin, you share a sacred, lifelong bond, yet you shine with your own unique light. Your ability to read music and play the guitar, ukulele, and piano is a testament to your focus and talent. I bless you with a life filled with sweet harmony, deep joy, and the courage to always play your own song.
- To Clementine: Alongside your sister Matilda, you bring double the music and double the joy to my heart. Your mastery of the piano and stringed instruments is a beautiful gift. I bless you with clarity of mind, a peaceful spirit, and a future where your talents blossom into extraordinary achievements.
- To Amelia (My Youngest Granddaughter): At 11 years old, you are the sweet, golden promise of our family’s future. I bless your youth with laughter, protection, and a heart full of wonder. As you watch your older siblings and cousins grow, know that your path is entirely your own, and it is going to be magnificent.
Part V: The Prophecy on the Shelf (The Retirement Revelation)
To my family, my Elite, and my grandchildren:
Two years ago on my birthday, my Jessica Gloria placed a book into my hands. She knew my heart. She knew how much I love to write on my personal website, and she knew the quiet, burning wish I carried deep inside: that one day, my legacy would be written. I took that book, thanked her, and set it on the shelf. For two years, it sat in silence.
Then, just two weeks ago, looking for the missing pieces of my story, I pulled it down.
The book is titled Guitar Hymns and Hot Pockets. When I opened it, a profound shock went through my soul. Except for the names of the people, the pages were describing me. It captured my exact thoughts, my silent struggles, and my deepest feelings after I stepped away from decades of hard work into retirement. The very first chapter is entitled “The Retirement Revelation.”
On the back cover, the words read: “A soul and heartwarming journey that blends faith, music, and culinary delight. Joseph’s unique experiences make for an inspiring read that will resonate with anyone seeking a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them.”
But the revelation went even deeper. The back matter continued, saying: “Joseph’s prose sings as beautifully as his guitar, weaving together tales of divine intervention and savory snacks. ‘Guitar Hymns and Hot Pockets’ is as nourishing for the soul as it is for the taste buds. From Lab Analyst to lyrical storyteller, Joseph’s transition is nothing short of miraculous. His book is a testament to finding joy and spirituality in the simplest of things. The book is a delightful blend of personal anecdotes, spiritual awakening, and the comfort of familiar snacks.”
My breath was taken away. From Lab Analyst to lyrical storyteller.
The LORD Almighty had already permitted someone to write down the exact map of my journey. For decades, I was that lab analyst—running tests, working day and night rotations, operating with clinical precision to keep food on our table and a roof over our heads. Yet, beneath the lab coat, God was crafting a lyrical storyteller. He was giving me hymns on my guitar to pass down to my grandchildren. He was finding me in the dead of night, keeping me awake with the simple comfort of familiar snacks while I worked seven days a week to build our kingdom.
Jessica didn’t just buy me a book; she unknowingly handed me a mirror of my destiny. It was the absolute confirmation from Heaven that I needed to finish this legacy for you. The revelation is clear: my life was never a series of random accidents or exhausting shifts without meaning. It was a masterpiece scripted by God, recognized by my wife, and now delivered to you. Joy and spirituality are found in the simplest of things—in a chord on a guitar, a prayer in a quiet room, a quick snack in the middle of a night shift, and the unshakeable love of a family.
Part VI: The Architecture of My Days (Scenes from Poinciana)
To my Jessica Gloria, my Elite, and my Grandchildren:
If you want to understand the man I am today, at 70 years old, sitting in our home in Poinciana, Florida, you only have to look at the quiet rituals of my ordinary days. The relentless years of working day and night rotations are behind me. In their place, the LORD Almighty has granted me a life that reads like a well-loved novel—home-oriented, creative, health-conscious, and deeply practical.
I want to share these snapshots of my present with you, so you can see how beauty and order have finally blossomed from the years of survival.
Hobbies & Passions: The Masterwork of Sound
The guitar case clicks open, and the room goes quiet. My fingers know this ritual by heart—each pick, each capo, each carefully chosen string laid out like tools before a masterwork. When I encourage you, my grandchildren, to play, it is because I know that we are not just collecting gear; we are building a voice, note by note, year by year. On the shelf beside me sits a board game with worn edges from our late-night family laughs, and on the windowsill, basil and mint lean toward the sun like they are listening to the chords I play. Every hobby I nurture today is proof that joy finally has a permanent place on my calendar.
Home Life: Order for Creativity
Golden hour spills across a room that works just as hard as I do. I am a man who loves structure. Storage bins slide into place with a satisfying hush. Cords disappear, tamed into neat, clean lines behind my desk like rivers finally given a path. There is a drop cloth in the corner and a can of Rust-Oleum, because I am still the kind of person who sees a scuffed table and thinks, I can make this better. I create order so that creativity has room to breathe. That is not just practical for me—it is powerful.
Food & Snacks: Honest Ingredients
Our kitchen smells like warm garlic hitting Pompeian olive oil. Goya beans simmer low and unhurried on the stove. A cast iron pan holds plantain chips from Iberia, crisping into gold. This isn’t just dinner; it is a choice to use real, honest ingredients because I respect the body God gave me. Wonderful Pistachios crack open during my songwriting breaks. I enjoy RITZ crackers and tea during the quiet evenings, and Vita Coco sits on the windowsill, sweating in the heavy Florida heat. I feed myself like someone worth taking care of, because after all those years of grueling shifts, I finally am.
Wellness & Self-Care: Rest as a Craft
As the day exhales, I roll out my massage tools and feel the tension of the past give way, inch by inch. My nails are trimmed and clean—cared for by my own hands, because I have learned that these small rituals are a kind of promise to yourself. Lately, compression garments have caught your eye—just another way to support the body that carries my music, my meals, and my life. I have learned that rest is not a reward for work; it is part of the craft of living. I am finally allowed to feel good in my own skin.
Style & Values: Price versus Worth
I button up a simple Gildan tee, soft from a dozen washes, and reach for my guitar. For me, there is no flash, no pretense—just value where it counts. I will hunt for a bargain or a deal without apology, but then turn around and invest deeply in the things that light my soul up. That is not being cheap; that is wisdom. I know the profound difference between price and worth. And I choose to spend the rest of my life only on what is truly worth it: music, home, health, and most of all, my people.
Tech Stuffs: Quiet Mastery
My iPhone 15 Plus lights up on my desk, its cables tucked cleanly along the edge. Nothing is tangled. Nothing is frantic. It is a setup that lets me create my website posts, call you, and unwind without fighting my own space. I stay current with technology, but never for show—only for function and for flow. I make technology serve my life, not the other way around. That is the kind of quiet mastery most people miss.
This is who I am today. I balance the budget and beauty. I cook, I play, I fix, I grow. And as I write this legacy for you, I know the next chapter looks good on us all.
Part VII: To My Pillars in Grace (The Partners of My Elite)
To the extensions of my heart—Franky, Kseniia, David, and Karla:
A building cannot stand on its cornerstones alone; it requires pillars of strength to bridge the generations. When you married into this family, you didn’t just join a lineage—you became part of the holy work of building it. I want to look you in the eyes through these pages and say: Thank you.
I see the vital, irreplaceable role you play. You are the quiet strength behind my Elite, supporting them as they navigate the heavy weights of adulthood and parenthood. You are the heartbeat of the homes where my grandchildren rest their heads. To Franky, to Kseniia, to David, and to Karla—you have raised, loved, and nurtured our twelve grandchildren with a devotion that moves my soul. When I look at their talents, their faith, and their integrity, I do not just see the reflection of my own blood; I see the fruit of your daily prayers, your patience, and your unconditional love.
You have taken the melody of this family and helped harmonize it. Thank you for protecting our legacy, for loving my children, and for pouring your lives into our grandchildren. You are fully wrapped in my blessings, always.
Closing Words
As the pages of this booklet close, let the music of our family continue to play.
I leave you with this final charge: build your lives on the unshakeable foundation of faith, guard the bond of your family with a fierce and gentle love, and never lose your song. When you face the storms of life, look back at the architecture we built together, and remember that you are designed to stand strong. The work of my hands is complete, and the legacy of my heart is safely resting in yours. Until we meet in the presence of the LORD Almighty, my prayers, my blessings, and my eternal love will follow you down every road you walk.
With all my heart, with all my soul, and for all my days,
Your Husband, Your Father, and Your Lolo
