Digestive enzymes are necessary to break down fats, proteins, and carbs for easy absorption. There are three main types of digestive enzymes:
- Proteases: Break down protein into small peptides and amino acids
- Lipase: Break down fat into three fatty acids plus a glycerol molecule
- Amylase: Break down carbs like starch into simple sugars
Enzymes are also made in the small intestine, including lactase, maltase, and sucrase. If the body cannot produce enough digestive enzymes, if foods and fats cannot be adequately digested, that will lead to malabsorption. This can also lead to lactose intolerance. Foods with high natural digestive enzymes can be recommended to improve digestion.

Prostrate – Saw Palmetto 4 capsules per day. I tried many brands, and Spring Valley Brand bought from Walmart so far works. I started as recommended in the bottle, four capsules a day. I stopped and went to Urologist as suggested by my Primary Doctor and got prescribed Tamsulosin (Flomax), no co-pay, but not too much success, I started retaking Saw Palmetto, and I dropped the Saw Palmetto to 2 per day with Tamsulosin (Flomax), and now works for me; no problem with the flow.
Bladder- Over Active Bladder – 6 capsules a day of Dr. Tobias’ Kidney/Bladder supplements. I did the recommended dose for 2 months, then reduced it to 3 capsules per day. After a year, I only take 2 capsules a day. I tried to stop taking it, but the problem occurred. I do not understand why it became maintenance for me. I may try 1 capsule a day soon. Supplements are expensive and not covered by my health insurance.
Malabsorption- My body cannot absorb nutrients, and after I had been diagnosed with malabsorption and started monitoring my bowel movement and noticed that my body could not absorb fats. The free samples of Creon have been consumed and look like it works, so I asked for a prescription from the doctor’s office; I received a phone call from the Pharmacist who told me if I want them to continue to fill the prescription, that will cost me a copay of $800; the total cost of the prescription was almost $7000.00, and the insurance will pay $6000.00, and of course, I said no and started looking for alternative and blessedly found the pearl-like tablets (Earth Pearl- Pro and Prebiotic) I took three a day as I reach to entirely consumed the whole bottle in less than a month; the wonder begins I do not go to the restroom in a hurry and as often as I did before, due to financial restrain I looked for the alternative brand and found a Probiotic-Prebiotic with 40 Billion CFU, and it works too. I will try the Earth’s Pearl again and this time, just one tablet a day, as also recommended. I prefer the Earth’s Pearl because of easy swallowing, and since it is so small, I do not think there is room for fillers.

Note: There are no regulations on supplements, so the manufacturer can always change their formulation and add more fillers that make substandard products and may lead to being less effective. There is also a manufacturer that, from the beginning, their product is already substandard, and there is a manufacturer that protects their brand by keeping the integrity of their company. Integrity and profit can be practiced side by side.

All the information provided herein is based on my experience and my research. It is not advisable to replace, change, or substitute to whatever you are taking now as per your doctor’s prescriptions. I mentioned some brand names but am not promoting their brand or getting any monetary gain. That is the brand I am using now, and it can be changed as I get more results based on the benefits it gives my body. Right supplements work, but you must be careful as they are not regulated. Our primary Doctor back in New Jersey is very careful in increasing his prescribed dosage, and surgery is not in crossing his mind. A Specialist advised me to undergo knee surgery, but my primary doctor told me not to decide fast and to adjust my diet. That was 39 years ago. I befriended a Pastor /Missionary, and he told me that his biggest mistake was subjecting himself to knee surgery. I believe diet, little exercise, and less stress are the way to healthy living. May this information help you with your health issues, and I pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide us with our journey on this troubled earth.
Symptoms of a Vitamin B complex overdose include:
- Excessive thirst.
- Skin conditions.
- Blurry vision.
- Abdominal cramps.

What Vitamin B is suitable for:
(B1) Thiamine – helps turn glucose into energy and helps our nervous system function optimally.
(B2) Riboflavin – produces energy in the body and assists with keeping the vision and skin healthy.
(B3) Niacin – converts carbohydrates into energy. Vitamin B3 plays a crucial role in the synthesis of serotonin and has been shown to help with anxiety at a dosage of 1,000-3,000mg daily. High doses of Vitamin B3 (niacin) may lead to vomiting, high blood sugar levels, skin flushing, and even liver damage.
Vitamin B5 supports the adrenal glands, which reduces stress and anxiety levels.
Vitamin B6 and magnesium can balance out the anxiety that occurs with PMS. Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate (P-5-P) Is the Coenzyme Form of Vitamin B6 and Is Necessary for the Metabolism of Proteins and Amino Acids.
Vitamin B7 (Biotin), also called Vitamin H or Vitamin B8 –Helps in healthy metabolism and creating necessary enzymes. Increase the health of their skin, hair, and nails. Biotin is often used to strengthen hair and nails and is also called Vitamin H (for hair).
Vitamin B9, also called folate, or folic acid, is one of 8 B vitamins. All B vitamins help the body convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy.
Vitamin B12 Helps support Brain Cells, Vitality, Levels of Restful Sleep, Enhanced Mood and Supports Nerve Tissues. Methyl B-12 (Methylcobalamin) is the most Bio-available and Best Utilized Form of Vitamin B-12.
Vitamin B Deficiencies:
Vitamin B6, B12, and B9 are nutritional deficiencies that can cause anxiety and depression and have been linked to mental and physical health problems.
Vitamin B Complex helps prevent infections and helps the growth of red blood cells, and it directly impacts our energy levels, brain function, and cell metabolism.

Should not be taken together: Six vitamin combinations you definitely shouldn’t take together.
1) Magnesium and calcium/multivitamins. Refrain from taking calcium, magnesium, or zinc together as they will “compete for absorption.”…
2) Vitamins D, E, and K. Studies have shown that a person’s Vitamin K absorption may be reduced when other fat-soluble vitamins, such as Vitamin E and Vitamin D, are taken together.
Vitamin D – is an antioxidant and can cause high cholesterol as some people get too much of it. Too much D can cause excessive calcium in the blood, which can cause hypercholesterolemia.
3) Fish Oil & Gingko Biloba. While omega-3 fish oil supplements are great for heart health and ginkgo biloba can be used to aid cognitive impairment, according to Dr. Tripathy, both have blood-thinning potentials and “taking both together can increase the risk for uncontrollable bleeding or inability to clot.” …
4) Copper and zinc. Zinc can help to boost the immune system but can interfere with your body’s absorption of copper. Take them at least two hours apart.”
5) Iron and Green tea. Iron can decrease the efficacy of green tea…
6) Vitamin C and B12. Vitamin C could break down Vitamin B12 in your digestive tract, reducing your B12 absorption. As a result, he says you want to wait at least two hours before taking Vitamin C with your Vitamin B12.
“Vitamin B12 plays an important role in red blood cell production and the proper functioning of your nervous system, and B12 deficiency can lead to poorer nerve health and affect red blood cell development and function.”
While mixing supplements can be overwhelming at first, Stokes says the most critical aspect of a supplement regimen is to keep it simple, to set yourself up for success. “For example, I always take my multivitamin and turmeric supplements in the morning and my magnesium and probiotics in the evening. That’s the basic schedule. Depending on the season, I may add in extra zinc and vitamin D3, which I take with lunch once I get into a routine, and know what to take when; it just becomes part of my daily habits. It doesn’t have to be complicated.”….

It is involved in many body functions, including the formation of collagen, iron absorption, the proper functioning of the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth. It boosts antioxidant levels, lowers blood pressure, protects against gout attacks, improves iron absorption, boosts immunity, and reduces heart disease and dementia risk.
Vitamin D – low vitamin D3 levels can increase your risk of: Heart attack, Asthma, Diabetes, High blood pressure, Multiple sclerosis, and Decreased brain function.
Vitamin K – Vitamin K helps to make various proteins that are needed for blood clotting and the building of bones. Prothrombin is a vitamin K-dependent protein directly involved with blood clotting. Osteocalcin is another protein that requires vitamin K to produce healthy bone tissue.
Vitamin B1 – Like other B-complex vitamins, thiamine is sometimes called an “anti-stress” vitamin because it may strengthen the immune system and improve the body’s ability to withstand stressful conditions. It is named B1 because it was the first B vitamin discovered.
