Treasure in Heaven
Treasures Where Our Heart Is.
Jesus Christ came to earth as a messenger from God the Father: “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes!” says Yahweh of Armies. (Malachi 3:1). Many still believe that Jesus is coming soon; Pastors, evangelists, and laypeople that I met and worked with passed with a strong belief about witnessing the coming of Jesus Christ. Many faithful believers fall asleep without witnessing the coming of Jesus. Many were called and responded, and only a few were chosen to see or hear the revelation of the hidden meaning of the word of God. This is the revelation that was not shared with them during their lifetime. Their faithfulness will be rewarded as they meet Him face to face.
We cannot be a doer of the good news of Jesus Christ but continually embrace the sin that the world has offered. We cannot serve two masters that will lead us to self-destruction. When we enjoy doing those things, then we already get our rewards. However, when we do good things in secret and walk away from wicked work, our Father, who is in secret and sees all our secrets, will reward us with joy and gladness. Our reward is in heaven, and the only way we can be there is to receive the crown of righteousness and glorious body, which is the fulfillment of seeing the Father and the Son in their glory.
We do not want to lay treasure on this earth, where wickedness rules. Corrupted minds overwhelmed the virtuous, lavish lifestyle becomes the purpose of life that makes money the influencing standard for many dreamers. God’s standard of what is right and sound does not conform anymore to everyday living. They wished to be righteous before God, but hardship turned them the other way. Dreaming of a better life is connected to making good money; better life is the enemy of good life. After achieving a better life, they want more to have the best life. That is how our hearts want to be. Where your treasure is, there will your heart also be. Psalm 19:9-11 says it this way 9 “The (reverential) fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true and righteous altogether. 10 They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb extract. 11 Moreover, they warn your servant. In keeping them, there is great reward.” -World English Bible
As it is recorded, while we are still in the guidance and protection of the light, and the light still shines upon us, believe in the light before darkness overtakes us or snatches us from the light. The power of darkness uses many ways to deceive or tempt us with lies. Those who walk in the dark do not know where they are going. We have to stay in the light that will guide us where we can become children of light. God called us out of darkness and brought us into His marvelous light.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:5, “For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or the darkness.” The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light but never shined on them. A little dot of light in their lives will make a difference. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, doubt could be the barrier to fully accepting the truth in you. It is your choice to remain a seed withered and useless or become a tree and be fruitful.
Revelation 22:12 — “Behold, I come quickly, and my reward with me, to render to everyone as his work shall be.” 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY). Continue the excellent work and help the unfortunate by sharing the blessings we receive. God is not unrighteous that our labor will be in vain. He is God that will not forget all our good deeds. This is supported by the Word in Ephesians 6:8- “knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.”
Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. James 1:12 -World English Bible Also, delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 (World English Bible)
