Unity of the Spirit

Unity Amongst Us- The Spirit of God in between us

Jews, Christians, and Muslims are brothers being the sons of God and believers of the one and only God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. However, we were scattered when people started to build the Tower of Babel to reach God. We can decide things on our own without the interference of God. As written in  Genesis 11:6 (King James Version), “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” We must use our free will with care. It’s a gift from God.

Jewish people believe in God and the coming Messiah. Thousands of years have passed they are still waiting. They cannot accept the Messiah that Christians believe in, the Son Jesus. Jesus said that they did not believe that the Father sent him for the Jews only (lost sheep of Israel), and Jesus even told his disciple to avoid the non-Jews or Gentiles. At the same time, the Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet. The Christian doctrine taught that whoever believed in him (Jesus) would be saved.

Therefore, we only need to believe that God sent Jesus on a mission to save the world (sinners). The gift of salvation came from God, delivered by the Son Jesus. When he said that the word coming from his mouth is from God and not on his own, does it hurt to follow the goodness of the word of God? If Jesus, in someone’s opinion, is just a messenger, so be it! It is not the messenger anyway. It is the message.

Religion divides the sons of God, it kills, demeans, and discriminates against people, and we should not live this way. It is not the work of God. God is fair and does not play favoritism; it has been the work of the flesh since the beginning of time when man multiplied the earth and overpopulated it, from the time of survival of the fittest where strength is the standard way of living to the power and influence of money, The human mind corrupted the system of compassion and much worse is losing the passion for God. In addition, after destroying the earth with sea and air pollution, deforestation, land grabbing, turning agricultural land into an industrial complex, and overpopulation, the time will come if we will not put God’s chosen leaders to manage the earth and her people, the shortage of food will hurt the existence of life when production can no longer supply the demand. We are heading to destruction.

When the people of the earth unite, put religion aside, and help each other to correct all the mistakes done and with a fervent prayer calling the name of the LORD, we might save the earth and the future of humankind. Christians, Jews, and Muslims are to take charge in grieving nations and their citizens against all forms of injustice, and their living conditions, including racial discrimination and impartiality in the distribution of food supplies and demands, especially when there is scarcity.

This always happens when the sitting official is partisan. We must learn to speak up or seek justice for them, especially for orphans, widowed, and abandoned children—punishment for those who rob the government’s treasury. Let the young educate themselves about the consequences of believing false stories and spreading misinformation. Supporting the lying tongues of those dirty politicians makes them a more powerful person to run our lives.

We do not need to use violence; we should remind them of their unawareness of what God expects them in return after they get the job that God provided them. The Lord God has told us what is right and what He demands: “See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God”—Micah 6:8. Do these politicians think that their donations to the church or charity organization are good enough to be forgiven for their wrongdoing? This is what the Bible says: “You should be fair and kind to others and still give what belongs to God.” If you do not love your people, you do not love God—Luke 11:42.

You can give all your time fellowshipping with believers, giving tithes and offerings, joining the choir, and attending Sunday school, but if you neglect to help people in need when you can, what good will it give you to gain the crown of life? God can never be bribed and cannot be fooled by your act. You are called and have a better life. God provided you with something you can use to help the poor, and you chose to do things for yourself. You already got your glory here on earth; not even a ink dot was recorded in the Book of Life. Worship means fellowship with God, and His delight is to see us helping the poor in spirit and soul. The poor in spirit are more vulnerable, defending themselves from deception and temptation. Disproportionately vulnerable to injustice. They were easier robbery targets because they had no money or social status to defend themselves.

“I hate, despise your feasts, and take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps, I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” (Amos 5:21-24)

Only God knows our end.
