The Message

Eternal Life

Today and gone tomorrow, no one can escape alive in this world.

Everyone needs to know that life has a purpose and that death is not the end of our existence. However, we Christians have a shared belief regarding the afterlife that we are souls with borrowed vessels, and at death, our consciousness (soul) departs from our body and is already beyond our knowledge. Therefore, the most important question we can probably ask is, why?

The Bible says: “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”(John 5:13). According to scripture, we need to realize that we are sinners. If we do not realize that we are sinners, we will never recognize our need for a savior. The Bible says we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

We must repent for our sins and be willing to turn from our sins towards Jesus Christ. Sin means missing the mark, and we need a complete U-turn on the wrong path of life, a change of heart and mind. It means we are willing to follow Jesus and receive Him as our Savior and Lord.

Jesus said: “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the gospel!” (Mark 1:15).

To demonstrate genuine trust and belief, we must depend on and willingly accept deep inside us Jesus Christ to be the Lord of our lives and Savior for all eternity. It takes more than knowledge and agreement that our knowledge is accurate and that even the devil agrees that Jesus is Lord.

What it takes is to trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life, not based on “what we can do but what Jesus Christ has done.”

Christ’s perfection to our imperfection.

Jesus Christ says, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again” (John 3:3); he means not physically, but spiritually; our salvation does not depend on our feelings but from the word of the Savior who says:

“Very truly, I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24).

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).

If you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, you can declare your faith now; “When you are ready, read slowly and meditate on every word written below:” I declare that, “Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.” I believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead, will forgive my wickedness, and will remember my sins no more.

Thank you, Lord, for the mercy and grace you have bestowed upon me, and in your name, I claim my salvation.

Thank you, Father, for your unconditional love. Amen

Remember that with your heart, you believe and are justified, and the profession of faith comes from your mouth.
