Creation-Evolution – Transformation

This topic is hard to digest for those people who do not believe that we are all created by God in His image and likeness. Some may ask if we are created in God’s image, why don’t we all look alike? Why are we different: in appearance, the color of our skin, height, weight, way of thinking, the way of doing things, our likes? We differ in opinions, different habits, attitudes, behavior, and many more to mention.

Learned and unlearned individuals or groups set up their congregation and indoctrinate the listeners of their interpretation of the Scriptures in line with their intentions to be unique from others. Some even pervert the Holy Bible to have their copyright,  use their talent to entertain their members and extend meals after the service. This is called fellowshipping, where each guest contributes a dish—a potluck.  

Many books were written expressing that they experienced God’s revelation.

Some books are works by other authors written many centuries ago but claim their own. Some authors wrote their own opinion about the meaning of certain scriptures, and some intentionally plagiarized. Many writers and preachers give hope to readers and listeners by promoting prosperity gospel, some healing miracles, and some even set up a school of thoughts about prophecy. As prophecy means, things happen, and not prophecy means to preach.

God’s intention in creating the very man by His hand was not to be self-centered and greedy, to turn his back against Him, not to be the habitat of sinners that it became—earth. Love God and obey Him will please Him and to have the desire to be like Him is not God’s accomplishment but ours. As the book of Hebrews states, acknowledging His existence will please Him, and the reward will be at hand.

Since the first century, there were already movements about the Oneness that Jesus Christ was around when the earth was created. They even claim that Jesus created the earth and other creations; to them, Jesus is the only God and denies the existence of the Trinity. In other words,  oneness does not recognize the distinct persons of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our mind is very limited in comprehending this mystery of God, especially when so many doctrines are preached around us that don’t help and confuse us. Sadly,  if it embraces the untruthfulness or deception or makes a drastic decision to walk out and utter, “forget it!” I am not listening to it anymore!!

It is the glory of God to conceal things, and it is up to us to keep it that way or keep on seeking. Our free will to keep seeking God’s truth is a gift from God, and He will never interfere when we use it. However, remember that we need guidance and protection from the Holy Spirit. We need to listen to our conscience to which the Holy Spirit communicates. This doctrine of the Trinity is an absolute need for Christians to fully understand our involvement in the Godhead.

Evolution is the process of gradual change in form or appearance. We can then suggest that it needs something already in existence, not self-reliant but reliant on the subordinate. We need a creator in this regard. God created the time in His space. He created everything well. We learned that God created the heavens and the earth; the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the deep surface. God transformed the darkness into brighter earth on day one of His creation.

If evolution is the process of gradual transformation, then we can say that evolution is not wrong because God made everything good. We can say both can be good if God allows them to co-exist. So it is something that we do not want to discuss as it will lead to a lengthy discussion without an end. Regarding our belief system in the Hebrew Bible regarding creations, God created animals, plants, and vegetables. He created the sun and moon to make day shine and the moon to light the night. So, transformation is good. If we have the spirit of agreement, we can be enlightened instead of having lengthy discussions leading to unresolved issues.

It comes into my mind the question,  which comes first, the egg or the chicken? Eggs need to be hatched for the chicken to exist, and other ways around that it needs a chicken to have an egg. From the beginning, we know that God created animals, and there is no mention of eggs being created. God is perfect, and His works are patterned. He used water to save Hagar and Ishmael in the desert. He used the parting sea to save Moses and Abraham’s people from Pharaoh’s soldiers, and Noah’s household was saved with God’s instructions on how to build an ark. He also used water to wipe out wicked people like the Pharaoh’s soldiers and the wickedness of people during Noah’s time.

When God created a man, He created them both male and female. He wants us to be like Him, which is why He did not hide anything from us, but then again, a mystery is a mystery, or it will not be called a mystery, also called a sacred secret. It’s God’s glory to conceal things, and I mentioned this many times, and it cannot be under question by anyone that loved Him and honored Him. So God put Adam into a deep sleep and took Eve from one of His ribs, and Adam became fully man and Eve woman. This is good enough to answer the egg and the chicken question.

Though we are not direct creations of God, we are the products of those creations. Through one man, we all became His creations; through that man, we became children of the highest. No one is beyond the gracious work of God. God’s love changes us as we trust in Jesus and receive God’s gift of eternal life. The transformation will continue as we walk in God’s love. Either we believe in sudden change (transformation) or gradual change (evolution). If there is no change at all, how can we become like Jesus? The transformation of God’s love changes us,  who we are, what we believe, how we live our lives, and what we will pursue to enter the kingdom, made for those who believe that Jesus is the way to eternal life as it is written.

The Bible did not mention evolution or transformation from one species to another, from ape to human. “All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fish, another of birds (1 Corinthians 15:39).” God created great things. However, we cannot create what God created. God gave usability to create many things to advance and to progress on this earth. Man is different from animals, as biblical references and scientific evidence demonstrate this truth. Man (Male and Female) alone can think about God, give hope in His providence, and express love to Him.

Look at the butterflies and how they are transformed beautifully; they are powerful representations of life. It represents the power to withstand the challenges that this world gives. It changes from an ugly, itchy caterpillar to a beautiful and graceful life, hoping to change for the better from, the worse and a new life to be a new man. What more can our souls ask when we already have it laid down for us? We need guidance to be transformed to be what God wants us to be, and we submit ourselves to that will.

Religion, many say, is the root of the conflict. It doesn’t save and doesn’t have respect for others’ beliefs, only what they believe. You are out of the circle if you are not in the clique. According to people who experienced being new to the congregation, their description of religion is so hypocritical if not self-righteous or too confident of their act. They are “ungodly workers and atheists in atheist clothing,” is the worst term they described. When it comes to religion and evolution topics, many scientists don’t see a conflict between the two, but most of the time, extreme fundamentalists have judged them. They are too professionals to challenge pointless arguments. We can believe both, as many do, and live in peace. The assurance of our salvation has nothing to do with it.

Romans 12:1-2 – “I urge you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” – In this passage, we begin to see how the transforming work of God’s love desires to continue changing us.

Thank you, Father, for this work, and may the readers who have differences in this work be blessed with this thought that was made possible through the help of the Holy Spirit. As Paul said: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will repeat it: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Please put what you have learned, received, heard, or seen in me into practice.
