Process of Salvation Corrected 8/31/2019
Salvation is a gift from God and Jesus affirmed this truth when he answered and said to Samaritan woman, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." John 4:10. Salvation has a foundational process; you have to be called and need to respond “Many are called but few are chosen” “Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. “For if you practice these things you will never stumble.” (2Peter 1:10). The Process of salvation is as follows: Justification, Sanctification and Glorification to begin with the process of salvation we have to be a justified believer of Christ Jesus the Son of God— John 3:16.
The first sanctification is in conjunction with our justification with Jesus Christ. The bloods’ of Jesus Christ washed away our sins and are forgiven. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. The second part of sanctification is how we witness our walk with God through our life long journey. It is impossible for us to please God without faith but we cannot also just sit back and relax and claim we have faith. We have a popular phrase in earlier time that “money doesn’t grow on trees.” This means that we have to earn it. Pleasing God with faith comes with our action. We have to apply what God revealed to us. Even Jesus told his disciples “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The third and last part of sanctification that makes the soul holy, and is therefore called sanctifying grace and only God knows at this time and we will know it when we meet Him face to face. Now that we are partaker of the Divine Nature of God, His Spirit is living in us, upon us and within us and there is no other way that the enemy to distract and destroy our thoughts will have space to interfere our relationship with God. We are promised that no principalities in these heavenly realms can snatch us and break up our relationship with God. Through Constant contact with His written word we would be able to hear Him speaking to us gently with thoughts that flows smoothly in our brain with full of knowledge and understanding of His message that might be unclear to many but not to the chosen or elect by God.
The thoughts that are not of our own but His thought transmitted to our thoughts deeper than no one can intercept or misinterpret. We will hear His voice saying, “This is the way; walk in it” (Isa.30:21). When you follow His instructions He will begin to guide our steps into a life that fills us with the fruit of His Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (temperance) against such there is no law. We will surpass all understanding and knowledge and then come wisdom. His great love for us which was revealed through His word may give us more enlightenment of His desire to spend time together.
You have already heard His voice that you may not be aware, for He is the One who has given us the gift of salvation and put us in position ahead of those who accepted the Savior but not fully understand that salvation has a process and still in doubt because of lack of knowledge. He will speak to us continuously until we get the message. Patience is virtue we have to take time to listen for His voice and in a place free from distractions of any kind that is why we are instructed to go to a private place, our favorite place where we can listen and communicate with Him (Acts 2:25; Ps. 16:8). To know God is to know ourselves first; are we ready to meet God, speak with God in this world? Did we repent and ask for forgiveness for our sins in the name of Jesus? Have you received the gift of the Holy Spirit? Knowing God – is to know His will and purpose that’s what we were created for, to acknowledge Him. Without acknowledgement there is no reward. Hebrew 11:6 stated that “without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly.”
We are to be free from any kind of distractions; sinful thoughts, insincere hearts, our settled thoughts towards the way of thinking and feelings (inner selves) about others that do not agree with our way of living, our behavior shamelessly claiming our godly life but inside it is destructive to our faith (hypocrisy, lying etc…). We have to workout our own salvation and with cloudiness in our thoughts and practice we may experience that we are passing a wider road that many thought is an easy road but leads to more deception and temptation that flesh cannot despise and that brings to the delay in the process of our salvation. In and out of us must be under the Spirit of sanctifying grace, the gift of salvation, looking for the fulfillment of our destiny to what God desires for us to be with Him – (Phil. 2:12).
We were dead to sin once again after we were redeemed and come alive once and for all to the works of the Holy Spirit which the Son promised in his farewell word to his disciples that he will ask the Father to send. In John 15:26: "whom I will send unto you from the Father, the Spirit of truth shall bear witness of me." God the Father, our Creator design us to be like Him, His amazing grace let the Holy Spirit dwell in us; the Spirit that gives power for us to survive in this troubled world is more than enough to be obedient to His will. “We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him." Acts 5:32
The Spirit that flows inside us will equip us the power to share to others through preaching and teachings of His word delivered to us by His Son, so that the Spirit may flow to others as they accept the will of the Father mentioned in John 3:16 “ Those who believe may not perish but have an everlasting life.” Through the Holy Spirit we can discover that by faith we can lay our hands on the sick and they might recover and by faith they will recover because the Holy Spirit is living within us—(1 Cor. 12:7-11). Let us celebrate that this day God has given us the opportunity, the power to remove the nature of sins that hinder the flow of His goodness and wholeness throughout our body to allow God the opportunity to remove sins. God will not transgress our free will, same us He did when Jesus voluntarily lay down his life for our sins. John 10:17-18 says “For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.”
Removing of sins is one factor that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit begins; for the wages of sin is death, but the grace of God is sufficient enough to give us eternal life in Christ Jesus the Son of God, our 2nd and last Adam, 2nd person in the godhead, but distinct to the Father with the same purpose in fulfilling our destiny. After we acknowledge and believe the Son we become a new creation, born from above given a new beginning a fresh start and fully equip to fight a good fight of faith. The power of confidence with the help of the Holy Spirit will be upon us to pass through the process of salvation. We have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling and make ourselves worthy and acceptable to the LORD and will later send us to our Lord Jesus and the Son Jesus will never reject the one that He sent. In John 6:37 Jesus that “those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.”
Jesus didn't come to condemn us, but to help us to make it through the process of salvation and to accept Him as our Lord and Savior is the first step in the sanctification process towards the fulfillment of our destiny to the kingdom. We have to stay away from sins, focus on doing righteous act, continue to develop a close relationship with the Father and the Son so we will fully be acknowledge as one of the many sons of God; it is a challenge because the nature of the flesh overwhelmed our spiritual nature. Temptation comes in many forms; sexual and immoral, material possessions, greed and many more and these are all the desire of the lust. We need to conquer the three foundations of wickedness and avoid falling into trap and miss passing through the 2nd sanctification process. Evil doers is deprive of sleep unless they do evil things, they are like hungry lions waiting for any flesh to devour.
We have to remember that the battle is in our mind fed by our senses and to be victorious is always ask for help of the Spirit within us. Removing of sins is part of the salvation process and we need the indwelling of the Spirit to process our salvation and through the Scriptures’ we will find the evidence that the Holy Spirit is in us. We should be aware that the important thing is accepting the gift of salvation given by our Father in heaven. Our obedience to the commandment of love and the condition that the Father have said; that to receive eternal life we have to believe with the Son that He sent in order for us not to perish and have everlasting life. The Scriptures that shows that the Spirit is in us:
Romans 8:9-14—He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you;
2 Corinthians 3:18—Transformed to his image;
Galatians 5:16-25— The flesh desires is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit is contrary to the flesh. So we have to walk inspirit;
Ephesians 4:22-32— We must put off falsehood and speak truthfully do something useful and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption;
1 John 1:5-10—If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin;
2 Peter 1:2-11—We should be effective and productive in our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. If we do these things, we will never stumble, and we will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords who were given the authority to rule the earth with his saints—The Believers.
We have to do a checklist to see what we need to improve and also to see what we are missing. The 2nd step of salvation is a long process it goes on and on through our lifetime because of the presence of our weaknesses, our quickness to sin of all kinds. We need a pure heart, a clear mind and the testimony of our conscience must also be pure, but most of all God look at our heart. 1) We have to be mindful that there are still sins in our system that need to be cleansed, replaced and renewed with righteous deed with the help of the Holy Spirit. We cannot do this by ourselves alone. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:7-9).
Upon accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior an immediate change could occur in our body; our life seems complete and our focus starts to seek God and the glory to be in His kingdom, our sinful habit seems no longer there, our body feels reformed and our spirit seems renewed. Our senses works as it was never work like that before, our tastes may have changed in regard to the things that the this world offered; the dirty entertainment world that make us laugh and enjoyed before and now no more, The scary diabolic movies that you do not feel entertained anymore, the vices of smoking, drinking and gambling becomes part of your past and more looking back. Lost for unrighteous appetites suddenly disappear. Our purified body becomes the spiritual kingdom of God, where His rule is being followed, having a new life is having a new beginning and all sins are forgiven if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us and the power of forgiveness will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea and never look back and sinned again. If you feel the changes, those are the miracles of the new life with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
There are changes that we need to keep on guard and there are changes that can easily fall back due to lies, deception and temptations. Though we have changes the old nature remains because we still live in this borrowed vessels but the difference is the empowerment we received after the regeneration; the weapons that we can use is enough to persuade any attempt of the wicked to control our body and distract our spiritual walk in life. Our human imperfection though have a little change because we are now living with the word of God our body is still vulnerable to all kinds of temptations but when it comes to our spiritual battle we are already declared winner which the sinners hates to see us different from them. We may still be tempted but because of our relationships with the God and the Son we will never falter and the enemy of our faith will never be happier because they want the whole of us.
Without these temptations we will not have the opportunities to reaffirm our decision that Jesus the Son of God, our 2nd and last Adam and ruler of this world will one day these tempters will come to their senses to give up in a no win win situation. In any situation we have to use our free will in a godly decision, godly walk and godly work and no one can blame us except ourselves in choosing to be on the right side of God and we believe with confidence and trust to one true God I don’t think we are on the wrong side; One and only true God and no one else besides Him. He is the one who give us life, He is the one that expressed true love and gave us the gift of salvation. We have the wisdom of God, the way, the truth and the life of the Son and the strength of the Holy Spirit who has all the power we need to overcome any temptation. Who else will be against us but the ignorant and those that lack the knowledge and understanding of the Word of God.
We do not need to prove anything to them if they have a settled mind but let them witness how life work without worries of the future to come, we cannot force them or stir their belief to love and accept Jesus. We just do what we need to do to avoid confrontation and be a walking advertisement to promote the joy of being loved by the One above anyone, the one that look about our welfare, the one that one day will be with us. Great is the hope of living under His promises and great living with the truth.
The Father—“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)
“For you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us; you, O Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name.”(Isaiah 63:16)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1Peter 1:3)”
The Son— “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Cor. 10:13).
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
Holy Spirit—Holy Spirit, I come to You. I welcome You “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,” (Eph. 1:17,18).
“What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.’’ “This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.” “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” “ The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,” (1 Corinthians 2:12-16)
Use the above Scripture as prayer and add your sincere thoughts in it and experience how the work of the Holy Spirit start working within you. To be born again you have to accept Jesus Christ with all your heart as your personal savior. You must confess Jesus as Lord and believe that He is.
Say Yes to Jesus If you ready to accept him— with sincere prayer; meditate on this and feel the instant change in your feelings. God listen to prayer with contrite heart.
Let us Pray
"Father, I know that I have offended you in breaking your laws and not doing what you want me to do, your purpose and the will that must be done in my life. I know that I have separated my life from you by continually sinning, by doing the things that you don’t me to do I am truly sorry, my LORD, my God and my Father in heaven and now I ask your forgiveness and help me walk away from my sinful life and be reconciled again with you. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, buried and was resurrected from the dead, and now alive and will live forever more, He will take part in the coming judgment and reign the earth with his saints— the elects.
I invite Jesus, the Son of God to come into my life and hear my prayer. I want you to become part of my life to rule and guide from this day forward. Thank You Jesus for I have doubted you and now enlightened what it means that you are our 2nd Adam and the last and no one else can claim your glory. Your request to the Father to send His Holy Spirit to help me obey your commandment of Love; which is to love God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind. And love our neighbors’ as we love ourselves. Thank you Jesus for accepting this invitation as it is written in Mark 11:24—“Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them..” And also you said in John 14:14—“And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Thank you again Jesus for your word of acceptance. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."
Congratulations! Welcome to the family of God!
