Numbers in Scriptures- Corrected 8/13/2019

If we will insist that the biblical numerology still debatable, I will not even go there and definitely will not quarrel about scripture. Scripture is the breath of God and if we do not have that Spirit, more likely we will not understand each other. The Bible teaches us many things. It teaches us to love one another, corrects us when we are wrong and definitely the Bible shows us patterns which is the code of truth leading to our spiritual growth.
Some people may say that numbers in the Bible are simply just numbers and some people put too much significance on it that leads to superstitious belief. Self interpretation without the guidance of the Holy Spirit is dangerous, that sometimes leads to self destruction. Numbers will not be written if there are no meaning to them. The problem may arise if someone over emphasizes the significance of its meaning.

God wants us to leave the sacred secret alone and it is His glory to conceal it. Hidden messages in the bible have their own time to reveal the chosen people of God. These are those people of God that may have the codes on their hands and will eventually reveal the future of humanity. We are the chosen generation that possess more than enough revealed truth than great the men before us. Like in the parables of Jesus Christ which were not known much in the past and now available to us. These are enough to equip us with knowledge and understanding.

It is interesting to know why numbers are associated with the word of God. The numbers are significant by themselves and God uses the number because of its perfection. 7 plus 7 definitely has a perfect answer of 14; 7 plus 3 is 10. There are numbers as perfect as you can imagine maybe that is why many people are poor or just don’t like numbers because for this simple reason. Numbers are perfect and human imperfection made it difficult to comprehend. 5 plus 1 equals 6 where 5 represents God’s grace and 6 is about mankind.

According to Hebrew tradition every number has a symbolic significance. Numbers such as 3, 7, 10 and 12 are known as the "perfect" numbers.
3— is the number of Divine perfection.
7— is the number of Spiritual perfection.
10— is the number of Ordinal perfection.
12— is the number of Governmental perfection.

Number 1— Represent unity in cardinal number while in ordinal number it represents primacy. So number one is God's number. Number 1 also means a new beginning, without 1, the rest of the numbers have no beginning.

Number 2—The number two says there is a pair. A pair of shoes means two shoes two different appearances but the same usage. I and the Father are one; two distinct person with the same nature, two separate position but the same nature. Another biblical example of number 2 is written in John 3:6 related to contrast, physical and spiritual; that which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Number 3— Represents the Holy Trinity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; Spirit, Soul and Body; Faith, Hope and Love. The number 3 biblically represents divine wholeness or holiness, completeness and perfection. Trinity means 3 and united as one and called the Godhead.

4- Number 4 is a number of “being”. It is the number that connects mind-body-spirit with the physical world of structure and organization. Four symbolizes the safety and security of home, the need for stability and strength on a solid foundation of values and beliefs.
There are four seasons in a year. The fourth day, God completed the universe-(Genesis 1:14 -19).  Even the 4th Commandment is related to God’s resting from His creative work and this day of rest is commanded for the creatures that He created for His glory and that being the Sabbath day.  Four corners of the world are mentioned in the Bible. Why four? When we know that the world is round meaning there were no corners.

5- Number 5 is a symbol of God's grace. Moses Pentateuch means 5. The first 5 books of the New Testament consists of 4 gospels and Acts, which can be considered God's grace. Man was created with 5 fingers, 5 toes and five senses, 2 eyes, 2 eyebrows, 2 ears, 2 lips, 2 nose holes. Total of 10 divided by 2 =5 another favor for mankind from God’s perfection. 5 which grace multiply by another 5=25, which is 'grace upon grace' (John 1:16). The 10 commandments are divided into two. The first five is to love God, which is our relation with God and the second part is love our neighbors which is our relation with humans.

6- 6 is significant in the Bible because it is the number of Man. It is a human number. Six can be represented in various forms like 4+2, 4 represents man’s world and 2 shows man’s enmity with God or 5+1 where 5 represents God’s grace but 5+1 means man’s perversion and corruption. Number 6 in the Bible is related to man’s imperfection and man was created on the sixth day so this number has been permanently impressed upon him.

Number 7— Seven is a Spiritual perfection. Seven is complete perfection of God, The Seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, Seven days of creations, seven churches of Asia. There are seven days in a week. The seven churches, Spirits, trumpets and others in the book of Revelation as listed.

8- 8 is the symbol of Resurrection and Regeneration. It means new life, new beginning born anew, born from above.

9- 9 are wisdom and responsibilities; forgiveness and selflessness; passion and compassion.

10- The number 10 is complete and perfect ordinal number, as is 3, 7 and 12. It is made up of 4, the number of the physical creation, and 6, the number of man. The 10 Commandments of God given to man. A tithe is a 10th of harvest and to be put in the storehouse. The Passover lamb was selected on day 10 of the 1st month (Exodus 12:3), Day 10 of the 7th month known as the Day of Atonement. 10 Parables of the Kingdom, 10 Virgins

11- Number 11 considered imperfect, being subversive in undoing the order of the perfection of number 10. While number 12 which is the divine governmental perfection then number 11 will fall short and can bring chaos or disorder. Like the 11 year reigned of Jehoiakim that brought the disintegrating work to Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar and the 11 year reigned of Zedekiah that put an end to Israel rule in Jerusalem, for in the eleventh year the city was broken up. And Ezekiel prophesied that Tyre and Egypt should be broken up like Jerusalem.

12- The number 12 signifies the governmental perfection. It has to do with the rule; like the sun that rules the day and the moon that rules the night, the 12 circles of heavens. The 12 signs of the Zodiac. Number 4 which is an earthly number is prominently present in the governmental perfection, like 4 earthly multiplied by 3 Spiritual number; 4 plus 4 plus 4 these numbers carries a divine message. The number 12 represent the 12 patriarchs, 12 sons of Israel. 12 Apostles of Jesus Christ, 12, 12 gates, 12 pearls, 12 angels and 12 foundations in the heavenly Jerusalem also involve something to do with 12-Revelation 21:16-17. Number 12 is said to mean moving forward, faithfulness, hope and growth.

Any numbers that come into your mind and questions that want an answers or an imagination that may lead to stimulate progress and bring more in-depth research or studies to come up with the truth or the value of its existence.  Ordinal numbers do not indicate quantity as cardinal numbers do. A cardinal number is a number that says how many of something there are, such as one, two, three, four, five in other words it is the quantity. Ordinal numbers tells the position of something in a list or place such as first, second, third, or in numerals, as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. You should always refer to the 4 complete and symbolic numbers 3,7,10 and 12 and you might get a perfect answers.

No one can tell you now that you do not have any knowledge why numbers are so important and why numbers are not just numbers but what it represents, its value, its significance to the events or what the scriptures tend to keep it a sacred secret.

As He is perfect, His creations made perfect and the word that He uttered must comes out perfect. The significance of the numbers is not but chance but by His design. His spoken words have been scripted to pass from generation to generations to enjoy and for us to feel His love. It is a love letter to inspire us and not to burden, to equip us and to know Him better, to be in unity with Him and with the Son for our safe journey in this world turned ugly. Though many versions of the written word have been twisted, you will still have the Divine revelation in the right order. When we see number in the scripture He wants us to figure out the truth; it could be how He works by patterns, methods or how we solve the hidden message attach to the number, God continue to work and speak to us in perfect manner.

God will never change His way of perfection, God’s way is perfect- (Psalm 18:30), the Law of the LORD is perfect- (Psalm 19:7), He weighs the waters by measure-(Job 28:25), Tell us the number of the stars-(Psalm 147:4), "The LORD is righteous in all His ways: and holy in all His works" (Psalm 145:17). Perfect in His ways and His thoughts, His wholeness and His righteousness delivers a perfect design, which is supposed to be us in particular. However , due to change of our nature due to sin, the perfection of our being becomes imperfect, short for God’s glory. Isaiah 40:26— Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.

Thank you Father for your love and protection, without your love we will be lost in this world that human made it difficult to live without falling to sin. Thank you for your word written for us to understand and not just hearsay that is vulnerable to deceit and temptation. Though there were people pretending to be godly workers but they are only serving their own lust trying to lure the lack of knowledge of your word that you made it clear for us to avoid and thank you for giving us the gift of discernment, that discern wicked people. The numbers related to your message is a revelation of your perfect gift for us.

Thank you Father and to Your Son and to the Holy Spirit that works everyday for our safety  and guidance. Amen
