Common challenges in human's mind: suffering, healing and death

Published by in blog ·

The Bible shows that our purpose in life is to build a friendship with God, having said that, all the sufferings whether mental or physical should not become a burdensome. When healing goes the other way our weakness threatens our belief system and in death whether physical or spiritual may influence the power of fear to overcome us.

When Christian dies physically, he/she continue to live spiritually forever in the presence of God. Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die." (John 11:25). The scripture that Jesus is saying are both spiritual and physical death.

The Bible simply states that God is not to be blamed for human sufferings. “Let no man say when he is tested, I am tested by God; for it is not possible for God to be tested by evil, and He himself puts no man to such a test.” (James 1:13)

When someone is in pain due to illnesses they ask God for healing, when someone in extreme anxiety or sorrow they call God for help God perform miracles to heal physically, spiritually, and emotionally! When things went the other way and did not get the result they are expecting, they turn their back away from God so quick.

Remember, despite the great powers bestowed and miracles performed through God's Spirit, Elisha the Prophet himself was not healed of some sort of sickness but actually died from it. Jesus healed a man with leprosy, a woman with blood problem, a blind man, but for unbelievers He did not do miracles.

There were 10 lepers that approached Jesus and Jesus instead of healing them; He sent them to the priest. Sometimes the “miracle” is performed through the hands of our doctor. We seek healing, comfort and protection from other experts, but we must not forget the main source of our healing, protection, comfort and redemption comes from our Lord God alone through Jesus Christ.

When Jesus called His twelve disciples, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases. God empower someone to be in His place. -Matthew 10:1

Why many Christian denominations preached spiritual healing and yet they have big hospitals like; Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist and others?
The sad part is that they will not give treatment if you do not have health insurance or money to pay for services. Nothing that I could explain more but to say that it is a business for profit! God's healing through Jesus Christ is not for profit.

The consequences of sin coming into the world are not fully understood until one sees the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ as “the lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world.” He died that we might be clothed with His righteousness (2 Cor. 5:21).

If Jesus conquered death, why human still die?
The first human; Adam and Eve, lost their lives because they sinned against God. (Genesis 3:17-19) Death was the only possible outcome of their rebellion against God, for with him is “the source of life.”—Psalm 36:9

Adam passed on the defect of sin to all his descendants. As the Bible says: “Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.( (Romans 5:12) Romans 3:23).

When will death be eliminated in the face of the earth?
God promises a time when “he will actually swallow up death forever.” (Isaiah 25:8) To remove death, he must put an end from its root cause, which is Sin. Jesus Christ, “takes away the sin of the world”—John 1:29; 1 John 1:7.
